 Back on the farm we were privileged with being able to grow some Malabar (vine) spinach. They produce these little bright purple berries that when you press a lot of them you get a great temporary and harm-free dye. Thus in redneck logic, that cat had to be included in the fun...

Evangelical and Evangelizing...you keep using those words, I do not think they mean what you think they mean...

It seems as a matter of convenience that the word meaning of Evangelize has indeed changed.

This as been done seemingly to take the "burden", which in reality to a true believer would not be a burden, off of the individual and onto someone else.

Thus we have many many self-identifying Evangelicals who do not evangelize.

They believe that funding other people's works of true evangelism with money somehow relieves them of this duty directly and in turn they believe that they are evangelicals by doing so.

Evangelicals are those who evangelize or in other words preach the gospel per Christ's command directly themselves.

This ought to be the work of any true believer per Biblical standards.

If it God's will that no one would perish and that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9) then it must follow that a true believer and child of God would have the same desire as their Father and thus they would preach the gospel to every creature, or simply, they would evangelize the world around them.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Isaiah 5:20-21

How a redneck writes to a drive...

A little something that ought to be done to keep our worship focused...

I believe the worship team, leader, etc. should be at the back of the congregation focusing the worship up towards God and not towards the front where the worship team is always located these days.

Its a common practice to gawk at the talents of the worship team while they are up there and then to pat them on the back afterwards praising them as to how good they were. It almost seems like the flock is confused as to where the worship and attention ought to be focused by having the worship leaders in the front.

We really need to keep our worship focused and this means it needs to be on God alone.

By the way...when you mix in non-believers within the congregation's worship you have a tainted sacrifice. Sad thing is, I have been to many a church that did not think anything was wrong with having non-believers on the worship team. In fact the first church my wife and I attended together announced one Sunday to the congregation that they were excited that a man who was on the worship team supposedly gave his life to Christ. They stated that they were aware all along that he was not saved.  Many seem to not be sure as to how God accepts this these days but I do know what Jeremiah said about it...

God is not happy with this at all...because it is in direct disobedience to Him.

For the naysayers and followers of John Nelson Darby's false teachings, those who want to challenge this because Jeremiah's writings were in the Old Testament, I will follow Jeremiah's writing on this with some direct New Testament scriptures as well in order to drive the point home...

Sandstones and Iron: My perception of what the modern church is like

I go to church with the specific intention to find ways to build others up. I do not go to be entertained nor do I use it as a self-help opportunity. Most everyone else these days see it the other way around.

When I get genuinely blessed by other true believers I am grateful but in these modern churches today I have found this to be a very rare occurrence. What I mean by blessed is not in material things but in spiritual edification and all around discipleship.

I call when I go to church today "church invasion". I and my family go in and do whatever we can for however long the church will have us. We do not go in with the intention to drive anyone away or to lure them to some other church but instead we go in with the intention to build up the people where they are so they as individuals within their group can be more enlightened and more equipped to walk circumspectly and to seek and save the lost.

Sad but it is not really iron sharpening iron in churches today but instead it is more like sandstone trying to massage sandstone.

Bring in a little iron and everyone just seems to lose it.

Sandstone does not seem to like iron much...

THEY SELL OUT GOD! For ten shekels and a shirt.

AND THIS IS THE BETRAYAL OF THE AGES!!!

And it is the betrayal in which we live.

And I don't see HOW GOD CAN REVIVE IT!

Until we come back to Christianity, as in DIRECT AND TOTAL CONTRAST WITH THE STENCHFUL HUMANISM that's perpetrated in our generation in the name of Christ.

That this philosophical postulate that the end of all being is the happiness of man, has been sort of covered over with evangelical terms and Biblical doctrine until God reigns in heaven for the happiness of man, Jesus Christ was incarnate for the happiness of man, all the angels exist for the happiness of man..., Everything is for the happiness of man!

AND I SUBMIT TO YOU THAT THIS IS UNCHRISTIAN!!!

Isn't man happy? Didn't God intend to make man happy? Yes. But as a by-product and not a prime-product!...

"Proposed", "suggest" versus "know"...Evolution vs knowledge (science)...

It is subtle but when you see it, it becomes clear that so-called evolutionary science is not science at all but more of a proposition...

Always look for the words of "we believe...suppose...porpose..., etc, etc..." in order to weed through what is genuine knowledge (science) and what is fanciful speculation...

Inconsistencies with Satan's church...

They will no doubt not see it this way but someday soon they will...come judgement day.

It is ironic that Satan's church will not take in convicted felons as members when in reality Satan already has these felons in his grasp.

The truth is everyone who ever existed aside from Jesus Christ needs to repent. This is whether they are a felon or not. Everyone must repent and turn away from Satan and submit to their creator, through Jesus Christ or else they will burn in Hell forever, along with Satan and his demons.

Forgive or else God will not forgive you...

How would you interpret the following passages?

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15 KJV

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. Mark 11:25-26 KJV

The language in the Greek carries straight over contextually into the English language and is really simple to comprehend as read in the KJV text and as well as the inferior translations born out of the Alexandrian manuscripts.

Even my 8 and 10 year old children understand these passages...

If we do not forgive then we are not forgiven by God.

This begs the logical follow up question...'how many unforgiven souls will there be in heaven?'

None.

God gave His Son up to die for our sins, for us to be forgiven.  Forgiveness is a very serious matter to Him.

It is amazing that so many today insist on making these passages say something completely different than what they actually say in plain every day and straight forward language...

The adherents to the modern day and fairly new once saved always saved (OSAS) doctrine need to go through spiritual acrobatics in order to interpret these out of context because to stay within context undermines their doctrine.

OSAS is a doctrine that broadens the road to life which is biblically backwards...

OSAS cannot allow someone who has accepted the Lord's forgiveness to later forfeit it because they decided to not obey God by witholding forgiveness from others. In plain Engliah, as well as the Greek, this is what these passages say...

Just recently in a church my family heard a pastor say that these passages do not really mean what they actually say. He said that they say instead of not being forgiven by God your relationship with God would actually not be as good as it should be and that He would not hear your prayers...but you were still saved.

I expect naysayers to argue against this but for every verse that they will attempt to use in defense of OSAS there are plenty more that say otherwise.

Let's get ready to rumble as this is a very serious matter...

A real revolution, God or nothing...

The Mortification of Sin in Believers

Bibles not Bombs...

There are some out there in the world who are dropping Bibles instead of bombs.

This is actually supported by the Bible vs the "Kill them all and let God sort them out" mentality  which really is not God ordained today...

We ought to be doing what this church in Sweden is doing and that is being merciful peacemakers...

God’s agenda today is one of reconciliation. Judgment will come in due time but for now He would rather all to come to repentance.

The Bible states that extremists can be saved…We should not be like Saul but more like Paul...

To the Christians being martyred by the likes of Saul back in the times of the New Testament times it is no stretch to assume that these martyrs saw Saul and those like him as terrorists.

Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. Acts 7:57-60, 8:1.

Paul said: “I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day. And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.” Acts 22:3-4

And Paul wrote: “For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.” 1 Corinthians 15:9

 So if it is God's desire that "all" should not perish but instead repent and  be reconciled back to Him then why is this not our desire as well? Many would prefer to just kill all the extremists out there without any consideration as to these soul's eternal destinies. Many self-professing Christians today actually do not have the same desires that the God they profess to serve has.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.2 Peter 3:9


In this sense I find it quite odd that self-professing Christians today prop up as their heroes the likes of famous snipers such as Chris Kyle. This man is reported to have killed more people as a sniper than any other sniper in American history. Every person killed that was not saved went straight to hell. Folks seem to be more concerned about our safety instead so they applaud the deaths of those that threaten them instead of mourning over the lost opportunity of another soul not being reconciled back to God.

From what I see in the modern church today is an attitude more aligned with Saul's before God got a hold of him. They want those that oppose their God dead. It's as simple and sad as that.

After Paul's conversion we do not read of him trying to persecute, imprison or kill anyone instead we read of his tireless efforts to save people and to strengthen other Christians.

We should not be like Saul but more like Paul...

They are of their father the Devil...for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Strange in that they look as if they could be brother and sister. But it comes as no surprise as they certainly are both children of the Devil based on their ideologies both current and past... 

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44

Modern Christianity is a “have your cake and eat it too” religion…

Self-professing Christians today try to convince themselves that somehow they have surrendered all by giving ten percent and by sitting through an hour long service once a week, all the while living exactly like the world.

Ask the self-professing Christian to give up their worldly music, worldly books, and tell them they need to give up everything that is of this world, everything that detracts their attention away from God then these self-professed Christians hurriedly claim Christian liberty and yell “keep yer hands off my stuff, don’t you dare judge me!”.

In a sense modern Christianity is a “have your cake and eat it too” religion. In other words they are grateful that their sins are forgiven but they refuse to repent and give up their sins.

Basically in trying to pretend being a real Christian in this manner is like a stringed instrument trying to say it is a guitar when in fact it is a lyre...

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:10

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4

Hey Christians, once again, Magic, is it ever OK???

You have to hear me out on this as the Bible states to do otherwise relegates you as a shameful fool.

These are not my words but God's...

He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him. Proverbs 18:13.

I will pull whatever card I need to for others to hear this because it is a very important matter. All things that God hates should be a concern to everyone who truly believes...

The Bible says to prove all things and to abstain from all appearances of evil.

So what is with this obsession with magic and that it is somehow OK now to dabble in it, even if it is just imagination?

Today self-professing Christians are going crazy over "Harry Potter and The Cursed Child" after it released to the public on July 31, 2016. 

Is God OK with any of this magic stuff?

The Bible says that we as Christian have to prove all things and hold fast that which is good and to abstain from all appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22). This does not mean that we can compromise in areas that God is adamantly opposed to. Remember that we are to not be conformed unto this world but transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we can prove what is acceptable to God (Romans 12:2).

We cannot take something evil as God sees as evil and somehow “Christianize” it and make it good. Haggai the prophet said in chapter 2 that you cannot do this. If it is unclean it is just that and by just saying something is OK does not cleanse whatever is unclean in the eyes of God.

Job understood this concept quite well but today's church completely ignores this truth.

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one. Job 14:4 KJV

I bring this up because once again I see folks who claim to be Christians who find no problems with playing around in costumes from the movie ‘Frozen’ during a marriage proposal. This proposal had a few Bible scriptures read amidst the frivolity of the ‘Make Believe’ in the theme of this movie. The Bible is clear that when this is done God’s Word is being either flat-out ignored or compromised. When people do these sorts of things they are dabbling in things of the occult which God abhors.

Keep in mind this is not rooted out my own opinion but my opinion on this is rooted in what the word of God clearly states on this topic. Playing with magic at any level is an abomination according to the LORD of all eternity!

This compromising behavior is hypocritical to the core.  The same people who give a pass to magic are the ones who will not hesitate to say pornography is evil and that God is against it. There is no difference in the fact that pornography are ‘just’ images and not technically “real” people in the sense that they are just reflections and not the actual person. I have actually heard people try to justify pornography on these grounds. At the end of the day and clearly according to God’s word, God is opposed to both whether in the real sense of practice or through imagination.

Some folks will try to say that God’s opinion is somehow relegated only to the Old Testament as if somehow God’s opinion on what is evil has changed. I have provided the verses that clearly show that God does not change.

I have also provided the scriptures that show God’s opinion on the topic. Now it is up to the reader whether they accept God’s position on this or whether they prefer to continue on in the rebellion of this world, against God.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.  1Thessalonians 5:22

Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.  Leviticus 19:31   

When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.  There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,  Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.  For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.   Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.  For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do. Deuteronomy 18:9-14 

When the people at Ephesus became believers they turned from what they now knew was wrong in the sight of God and burned their books of magic.

And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.  And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.  Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.  So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.  Acts 19:17-20   

God does not change…

You cannot take something unholy and try to call it holy…

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,  If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.  Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.  Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.  Haggai 2:11-14   

Below is just a mere abbreviation of a list that includes the world’s obsession with magic. Yes even C.S. Lewis does not get a pass on this as his works included a compromise of trying to use something that God abhors and try to teach spiritual so-called truths. God’s word as shown above clearly says we cannot do this and expect God to be happy with it.

The church is guilty for falling prey to the subtleties of Satan once again. Once Satan gets a foothold then it is a slippery slope straight to hell for those who compromise.

The naysayer will be upset with me saying this as such and claim that I am preaching a works based salvation. On the contrary, I am showing that those who claim to be in the faith ought to prove all things and make sure they are not doing things that oppose God’s will. A true believer would understand that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God and they would hold fast that which is good and abstain from all appearance of evil…

I am not saying it is a works based salvation as salvation is only available because of Jesus’ death and resurrection. I am saying that one may not be saved at all if they are living a compromised life.

Remember that if you are lukewarm God will spew you out of His mouth. If you are not bearing Godly fruit then you are plucked from the vine and cast into the fire. Remember, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God and if you are friends with the world then you are at war (enmity) with God.

Paul said it best when he told the Philippians to “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (2:12).

David said “The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity”. Psalm 5:5.
