Are you a Self-Made Man???

Do you claim to be a self-made man?

If so, then exactly what part of you did you make?

If you do identify yourself as being a self-made man at any level then you are challenging God's sovereign position as the almighty Creator.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:26-27

If you are claiming to be a self-made man then you are essentially equating yourself to being your own God to some degree.

Keep in mind that at any degree this is not acceptable to the one true God.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3

Do not forget that this same thing happened to an angel and he is eternally doomed for doing so...

If you are living in pride as did Lucifer and die without repenting for that pride then you will be joining him in the near future.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. Isaiah 14:12-15
