They keep telling me it is ok as a Christian to approve (aka: vote for) of the lesser of the two evils…I am still waiting for someone to provide a coherent argument from scripture on this issue...

While worldly philosophy provides many analogies, the Bible has clear direction to the contrary.

Abstaining from all appearance of evil is what we are told directly to do as well as having no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather we ought to reprove them...

While we can dream up analogies all day long that seem to make sense towards our self-preservation we have specific instructions to follow as believers in this world. And yes, sometimes our flesh wars against these instructions but God has a sufficiently moral reason within His economy to direct us as such.

I find it sad that believers are scrambling to say we must vote to keep the greater evil at bay when it is well within the Constitution's parameters that my silence on these two evils is an existing right of everyone.  This is based on the Constitution's acknowledgement of our right to free speech.

The Constitution has affirmed our right of freedom of speech and this includes when we are silent.

We see this demonstrated with our economic silence when we boycott evil institutions yet somehow people illogically take the contrary position when it comes to politics.

Let me tell you this, the two party thanks you when you do insist on everyone voting for the lesser of two evils.

The end result is always a drawing nearer to the clutches of complete secularism and socialism and further away from God. If you disagree then demonstrate to me under what so-called conservative administration or Congress did we draw further away from secularism and socialism and closer to God?

Someone posted the following on a FB thread that I was essentially posting the above coments on...the links that were offered to support the "we must choose the lesser of evils" argument were https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Htu8U79GknI and  http://calabashconservative.us/editorials/the-lesser-of-two-evils/ and

He said:

"Never mind the ways in which the analogy brutally fails... based on the logic here, we should promote Theistic Evolution as much as possible in order to combat Naturalistic Evolution. After all, it's the lesser of two evils and it has far more ground in academic circles than Biblical Creationism does, right? So, let's all pack up our values and pinch our noses and ignore what the Bible teaches and promote Theistic Evolution. While we're at it, we can use the same logic to pretend as though Christians should help a sexual predator gain power in America." He provided this link:
