He that answereth a matter before he heareth it , it is folly and shame unto him. Proverbs 18:13 KJV
Always let God's Spirit and not our emotions dictate our words and beliefs. Always use scripture as the final and ultimate authority even if it contradicts our feelings or the popular teachings of the day. If we do not like what the Bible says then we are the ones that need to change, not the Bible. When we get into the business of changing God's word then there are indeed eternal consequences.
Jesus died for our sins so that we could live forever.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV
Below Paul is specifically talking to the Jews in the Temple. Context is important. He said clearly that they killed Jesus.
And when Peter saw it , he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? [14] But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; [15] And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. Acts 3:12, 14-15 KJV
Stephen was killed right after he proclaimed who it was who Killed the Saviour. The irony is not accidental but Divine in that that Lamb of God Would be slain by His chosen people. They killed the prophets before and after Jesus (Stephen was indeed a prophet) and they killed Jesus as well.
It is sad that today's mainstream church has the same murderous spirit when they attack anyone who speaks of these truths directly out of scripture just as Stephen spoke of them many years ago.
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did , so do ye. [52] Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: [53] Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. Acts 7:51-53 KJV
Below Paul speaks of a differentiation between the saved and unsaved Jews. The saved who are now in the churches of God are those Jews who trusted in Christ Jesus. He was clear that it was the Jews who killed Jesus and the prophets. You cannot spin this any other way without deviating out of context.
For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
1 Thessalonians 2:14-16 KJV
John the Baptist was critical of his own people in regards to their spiritual heritage and righteousness.
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? [8] Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: [9] And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. [10] And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Matthew 3:7-10 KJV
Jesus said to call no man your father but to only call God our Father. We indeed are His children but only through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 23:9 KJV
And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
Jesus clearly proclaimed who it was that was trying to kill Him. Those who proclaimed Abraham as their father had an agenda to kill Jesus, which they eventually did. Jesus told them with no exception that their father was not Abraham but the devil.
They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? [34] Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. [35] And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. [36] If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. [37] I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. [38] I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. [39] They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. [40] But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. [41] Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. [42] Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. [43] Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. [44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. [45] And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. [46] Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? [47] He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. John 8:33-47 KJV
Paul clearly taught who it was that where the true seed of Abraham, those who are in Christ whether they be Jew or Gentile it matters not. They have to be in Christ or they are not God's children.
If anyone at this point is angry with towards the writer of this for speaking straight from scriptures on this matter then they are angry in the wrong direction as their struggle is with God's Word who is Jesus Christ.
Again here lies spiritual irony but really it is just truth. Jesus said that hatred or anger is murder (Matthew. 5:21-22) and if someone has a spirit of anger towards God's Word then essentially they are murdering Jesus in their heart. This what happens to all of us when we refuse to accept any of God's truths. Thankfully Jesus died for this very reason but His Grace does not give any of us an excuse to continue on in sin! (Romans 6:1)
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. [27] For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. [29] And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:26-29 KJV
The fact is, Jesus did indeed die for our sins but someone did actually kill him and as a whole they continue to reject Him today. They need witnessing to, they need salvation as much as any other non-believer. Scripture says if we or anyone are not in Christ then they are not the seed of nor is their father Abraham. As we saw in the scriptures above Jesus, Our Lord, and Paul emphasized this.
The actual reason Jesus had to and chose to die was our sins. God allowed the physical seed of Abraham to do the actual physical act. We all need salvation and the unbiblical doctrines being taught today are a stumbling block for the gospel to reach those that need it most, the Jewish people!
There are many other scriptures that support this so dig in and study to shew thyself approved.
Read the Bible straight through as fast as you can. About two to three hous a day can get it done in a month's time. When it is done like this a fuller conceptual view happens that ties everything together. In this manner time is not a forgetful enemy as details are lost through too much time spent between readings of certain passages. When one does this they learn of the errors being taught today. Reading it through quickly gives a complete end to end accurate context of what was actually said!
