Lack of forgiveness is a dangerous thing...

As a Christian I embrace all doctrines of Christ of which forgiveness, restoration and reconciliation are essential.

Jesus said if you do not forgive then the Father will not forgive you.

That is a matter dependant upon salvation which most people tragically overlook.

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15 KJV

The Words of the Lord are Pure Words...

Yea hath God said???

Modern textual critics are no different than the serpent (Satan) in the garden when he said "yea hath God said?".

The text is indeed critical but we must not be critical of the text the way the modern revisionists are.

I find it amazing how many people today insist on being God's editor. As if He needed one...

Myth-Busters: Trump's Foreign Policy Blunders

People wake up.

Trump is willing to compromise and give up ground to the liberals on issues such as gender neutral lies that are being pushed on our society.

You have to know that this is not because he is a politically savvy conservative but instead he is a liberal in disguise who has deep pockets and whose only concern is his own ego and his own money.

The news keeps coming out regarding these compromises.

It amazes me that people who strongly oppose Target and others who are trying to embrace and push sinful policies on our society are at the same time supporting this egomaniac.

People wake up! Rome is burning once again and folks are just sitting there watching it with blank stares.

All because they love their sin and death and they hate God.

America has lost her heart.

Most Americans today are so selfish that they prefer their own safety over freedom.

The irony here lies in the fact that when Americans give up freedom their safety is no longer assured.

Americans have traded freedom for bondage under the lies of modern liberalism, socialism, ad nauseam.

They have traded life for death.

All because they love their sin and death and they hate God.

But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death. Proverbs 8:36

Walk in the old paths...

Thus saith the Lord , Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls....Jeremiah 6:16 KJV

Selflessness on our part brings God pleasure.

He rewards those who are selfless towards others for His glory.

God made Himself to be a man to die for us. He showed us with His life, as He walked and served among us, how we ought to live and die selflessly for others.

Whether we live...or die, we are the Lord's.

Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him ? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord ? Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward. Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am . If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday: And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. Isaiah 58:5-11 KJV

And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Mark 10:44-45 KJV

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee ? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee ? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:  I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Matthew 25:31-46 KJV

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. Romans 14:8 KJV

Don't be selfish with God's holy day...

The holy day set aside for the Lord is not about our pleasure but His.

I fear for America as we treat our weekends, which includes the sabbath day, as a time for self-pleasure.

If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord , honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Isaiah 58:13 KJV

Shekinah what?

So-called 'Shekinah' glory. I am digging into this word and am finding no Christian roots whatsoever. I am finding that its roots are founded more so in the Talmud and with a more outrightly demonic twist in Kabbalah.

As a Christian I see no biblical justification to reference this as if it were something good, which it is not....

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 KJV

Blood thirsty American Christian avenge not yourselves...

It is in reality a spirit of reversed jihad and not the will of God for us nor the terrorists.

The Christians in America stand in stark contrast against what the Bible states we should be doing.

There is a constant demanding from today's so-called 'Christians' for the blood of terrorists without much to say at all about the need to try to call them to repentance so that the souls of the terrorists could be saved.

The so-called 'Christian' today wants to shed blood rather than save souls.

There are plenty of worldly excuses that are asserted to justify this demand for blood but Jesus' own words do not justify this attitude. God's word says He would rather that all men would repent and that it is the Christian's job is to tell all men this very fact.

It is our job to try and save souls not kill them.

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:43-45 KJV

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17 KJV

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20 KJV

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:13-15, 17 KJV

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 KJV

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:17-21 KJV

Walk in the Light!

Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved me;  When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness; Job 29:2-3 KJV

For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living? Psalm 56:13 KJV

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord , in the light of thy countenance. Psalm 89:15 KJV

O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord. Isaiah 2:5 KJV

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12 KJV

Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. John 11:9-10 KJV

Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. John 12:35-36 KJV

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them . For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:8-16 KJV

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7 KJV

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.  And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. Revelation 21:22-24 KJV

Dude looks like a lady...

A dude that looks like a lady is still not just a dude but a sinful dude.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: [27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. [28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; [29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, [30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: [32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.  Romans 1:26-32 KJV

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! [21] Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Isaiah 5:20-21 KJV

New King James Version (NKJV), the Feminist's Bible

Help 'meet' was what God intended.

'Comparable' aligns not with God's original and final intent as does 'meet' but instead it agrees with today's ungodly feminist's agenda.

And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Genesis 2:18 KJV

And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Genesis 2:18 NKJV

MEET, adjective [Latin convenio.] Fit; suitable; proper; qualified; convenient; adapted, as to a use or purpose. Webster's 1828

COMPARABLE, adjective That may be compared; worthy of comparison; being of equal regard; that may be estimated as equal. Webster's 1828

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. 1 Corinthians 11:3 KJV

God's word says that woman was created to come under the man's spiritual leadership as a suitable 'help meet'.

Feminism dictates that women are equal to men in all things and are under no man's authority but only their own.

The NKJV's translators choice of 'comparable' satisfies the Feminist's agenda and contradicts God's.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! [21] Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight. Isaiah 5:20-21 KJV

Who killed Goliath??? If you read the ESV you get it half right as well as all wrong...

If you prefer to read from the perverted ESV you will see that Goliath was killed twice. Poor guy. The ESV has David first killing him and then Elhanan. What???

Why would you trust a version translated out of the perverted stream of Alexandrian manuscripts?

ESV:

And there came out from the camp of the Philistines a champion named Goliath of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span... And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and slung it and struck the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. There was no sword in the hand of David. 1 Samuel 17:4, 49-50 ESV

And there was again war with the Philistines at Gob, and Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, the Bethlehemite, struck down Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam. 2 Samuel 21:19 ESV

The trustworthy KJV, built off of the Antiochian manuscripts, has it right. Goliath dies but one time and only by the stone slung by the little Shepherd boy, David. Elhanan killed Goliath's brother...

KJV:

And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span... And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David. 1 Samuel 17:4, 49-50 KJV

And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim, a Beth-lehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. 2 Samuel 21:19 KJV

So if you get your answers from the perverted ESV you get half the answer right but since we are dealing with the Words of God and God's Word is truth then you ultimately get it all wrong...

Pick up the KJV and know that you are standing on solid ground!

Some sensible words from David Daniels regarding the Word of God: Look What's Missing...

Part one:

Part Two:

Part Three:

What do we do with CPS (DFPS)…? If you are a Christian you need to read this!!!

Whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them…

My wife and I have done extensive work towards trying to make a difference in the lives of little one’s whose worlds have been ripped apart but we and the few others that are out there working within this effort need help. We need a lot of help. This is my cry out for help from other brothers and sisters in Christ.

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions about what to do with CPS (DFPS, etc). Something drastic needs to be done as there are a lot of children out there suffering at the hands of many starting from their very own birth parents and then the list only grows from there. And yes this list also includes the very system that is supposed to help them.

More people need to step up and offer to be part of the solution for the children out there who desperately need loving and stable homes.

WIIFM??? That’s “whats in it for me” for those who do not speak corporate lingo. First of all, a Christian ought not have to ask that question as it should not be about themselves  but instead it should be more like “What can I do to help those in need?”.  But since most still will want an answer, here is one, if we do not do it now then you the citizen (and taxpayer) will be dealing with the repercussions when these little ones grow into adults without the nurturing love that is needed to develop them into sane and functional adults. You will be the ones paying for the damages that will come from these products of a broken system.

Now what can you do?

A place to start is to lobby your state government officials. Call out to those who can directly make a difference. We can start with offering the idea of abolishing the current system and encourage the policy makers to come up with a solid alternative other than the one that fails consistently regardless of the “fixes” to the current system they continue to provide and that continue to fail. The process continues to get band aids that cover up symptoms instead of actually addressing the root causes. After a while one must conclude that something is not fixable and a ground up rebuild is required. Ironic that the same can be said about Public Education but that is a discussion for another time.

The next step you should take is to open your hearts and homes and offer to take in the beautiful children out there who do not have a mom or dad to love them. While they are hemming and hawing about what to do the fix the system you might as well dig in now and be a part of the solution.

The Christian’s life focus ought to be one that is selfless, not selfish. I say this because I know what most people are going to say in regards to this challenge…but it’s not what I like to do, or I can’t do it, or I already have a child, or I…I…I…Me, me, me, me. Sorry but I get this a lot when people find out we have adopted four children and have another in the process. I get the narcissistic responses that generally go like, “bless your heart, I could never do that…”.

True born again believers cannot be narcissists…

I may be narrowing the scope of available volunteers with my harsh words here but these children do not need self-absorbed people who are doing it for themselves. The children need their rescuers to be doing this purely out of selfless motives.

Jesus said “And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:44-45

Christians, this is something you should be considering. Your calling is to serve others as your Saviour served you...

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Philippians 2:4

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:17-18

Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard. Proverbs 21:13

But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 1 Timothy 5:8

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Matthew 25:31-46

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12

Thank you

Zacharias was a young Earth Creationist

Zacharias was a young Earth Creationist and God did not correct him elsewhere in scripture so what he said was truth.

Herein lies a problem for the old earth theistic evolutionist. You cannot have millions of years of earth's existance prior to man coming on the scene and at the same time accept that the Bible is true when it states that God's holy prophets were there at the beginning of the world. You can't have both.

And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: Luke 1:69-70 KJV

Obamacare should wear reflectors...when will we ever learn?

I was reading through some news stories and came across something that made me think of how we as a people have allowed ourselves to be fooled over and over again.

The story was about how the new US Navy's destroyer is so stealthy that it is required to wear

“giant reflectors — reflective cylinders hoisted in the air — to ensure other ships can see it.”

“A lobsterman in Maine, Lawrence Pye, told The Associated Press that during a recent outing his radar indicated a 40- or 50-foot fishing vessel was approaching. It turned out to be the hulking 610-foot warship.”

http://www.defensetech.org/2016/04/11/navys-futuristic-destroyer-is-apparently-too-stealthy/

Immediately what came to mind is how our government sneaks things into our bills as they are creating laws that are meant to deceive the  people. We are told we are getting a "40- or 50-foot fishing vessel" but instead we get broadsided by a 610-foot warship.

We saw this with the so-called affordable care act or Obama Care...

Many hidden costs (taxes) showed up after the bill passed. Tucked away stealthily among all the rhetoric of "we are going to take care of you" points within the bill were hidden costs that reflected immediately within our economy. With the additional costs associated with Obama Care we saw an immediate rise within the amount of money the Federal Reserve was printing in order to cover these additional costs. As the money is printed out thin air by the so-called Fed (they are not a government entity but instead a private bank cartel...) the costs are passed along to the American Citizen in the hidden tax of inflation. Some of the associated taxes are no longer so hidden as the links below can help point out...

Sad but we did see that huge ship coming but we somehow allowed it to hit us anyways.

Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end…

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalms 1:1-6

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:7

Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. Proverbs 4:13

Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. Proverbs 11:14

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. Proverbs 12:15

Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom. Proverbs 13:10

Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. Proverbs 15:22

Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.   There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand. Proverbs 19:20-21

A "Rabbi" walked into a Christian Church...

A “Rabbi” came to our church this last Sunday. He is what is termed today a “Messianic Jew” in that he claims Jesus as the Messiah. While I really appreciated his passion towards Jesus I cannot help but think about the very words of Jesus that seem to fall on deaf ears such as this man's as well as with many other's in the churches of today.

This man claimed that there are two paths today to the Father, the Jewish and the Gentile. The Bible clearly teaches something completely different. There is only one path after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. All Jews today who do not accept Jesus as their Saviour are just as lost and bound for hell as any Atheist and yes they are just as lost and bound for hell as any Muslim as well. Unless they repent and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour they are not saved.

A lot of people are caught up in the hype of literally worshiping or elevating “God’s chosen people” above the “mere” Christian. They fail to realize that once Jesus Christ came to fulfil the law things transitioned logically to the next stage. This is the stage we are in today, the stage just prior to Jesus Christ’s return.

First stage, man was created and walked with God until he fell away from God. At this time we see God providing the first symbolic covering of sin when He used coats of skin which required the first shedding of blood to cover Adam and Eve’s nakedness. They attempted to cover themselves just prior to this with fig leaves but their efforts were useless, God had to do this not man. (see Genesis chapter 3).

Second stage God set apart a people unto Himself to prepare the way for the coming perfect sacrifice. These were of the physical seed of Abraham and through this line God would bring us our Messiah, our Saviour. (see Genesis 12:1-3)

Third stage …the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Jesus Christ came to die as the only perfect sacrifice possible, the perfect and Holy Lamb of God. God provided us this sacrifice so that all men might be reconciled back to Him. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection we received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. We are now legally adopted sons and daughters of our Father through Jesus Christ His Son.  (See John 1:14 and 29 and Romans 8:15).

It is in this stage the world exists today. Jesus’ death not only tore the veil in two providing men direct access to the Father through Jesus Christ but His death provided the only means today to be considered the seed of Abraham and that is through being born again, not of flesh but of spirit. (see John chapter 3 and  Galatians 3:28-29 in light of all scripture as well…). God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (See 2 Peter 3:9)

Jesus specifically said for no one to call themselves Rabbi.  This was a direct command not a suggestion.

But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.  Matthew 23:8 KJV

Jesus fulfilled the law.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:17 KJV

After the last mention of Rabbi when Jesus was called Rabboni in John’s Gospel there are no more mention of 'Rabbi' in the Bible. In all of Paul's writings he never calls himself Rabbi. He mentions that he studied under Gamaliel which most people today understand as Paul being qualified as a Rabbi. Yet Paul obviously obeyed Jesus Christ in not carrying that title. Paul was a servant and Apostle of Jesus Christ (Romans 1:1, etc).

I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day. Acts 22:3 KJV

Who are the seed of Abraham today?

There are not two separate paths as many today claim there are but there is only one path to the father and that is through Jesus Christ. Narrow is the way to life. This narrowness is defined by only one man, Jesus Christ, God made flesh, the perfect Lamb of God.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3:28-29 KJV

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

The veil has been rent. We now have direct access to the Father and need only to approach Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Matthew 27:50-51 KJV

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.  Hebrews 4:16

Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin...

A lady from a Church Leonard Ravenhill had been preaching at complained, "He was saying that we can be holy. That is sinless perfection!" Leonard said about this, "Poor soul, I wonder what she does with Hebrews 12:14. It's a sad reflection upon the church today the we are more afraid of holiness than we are of sinfulness." - p.191 Ravenhill Biography

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us , and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us , and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

Follow peace with all men , and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you , and thereby many be defiled;

Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape , if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

And this word , Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

For our God is a consuming fire.

Let’s do a real Bible study...and let us not err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God...

We do indeed have also a more sure word of prophecy...

The purpose and my hope for this study is to encourage people everywhere to do a real study on the Word of God.

What is it? Did God really preserve it for all generations and for time eternity? Has the world ever been without the Words of God? What benefit does God’s Word have for us, what is it’s power? Just how important are the "originals"?

These are but a few of the fundamental questions every true believer ought to be asking and not just asking but seeking diligently for the answers as well. If we claim our entire lives are based on God’s Word then do you really know where it came from and what attacks have been made upon it since just after the beginning of the world? Do you really know what the Word of God is and why it is the most important tool in our arsenal against all things evil?

I was tempted to put the answers the Holy Spirit revealed to me along with the following scriptures but I was led to abstain from doing so. Instead I want to challenge anyone who reads this to do this on their own with much prayer.

Please feel free to comment on any or all answers and relevant verses you come up with. Dialogue around the scriptures is healthy as long as it is done within a strict Biblical context.

Important note: Any answers that stem from one’s emotions and that do not agree with the entirety of scriptures are not true. God’s Word is the only litmus test for everything in this world and for all eternity.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:1, 14

Genesis 3: Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.  And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.  And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.  And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?  And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.   And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?  And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.  And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.  And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.  And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;  Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;   In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.  And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.  Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:  Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.  So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. Psalms 12:6-7

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Proverbs 30:5

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.  The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. Psalms 19:7-8

For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.  And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.  We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.  2 Peter 1:17-21

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?  Jeremiah 23:29

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.  2 Timothy 3:15-17

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God...Ephesians 6:17

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  Isaiah 55:11

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Revelation 22:18-19

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 4:2

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Proverbs 30:5-6

What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it. Deuteronomy 12:32

If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,  And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;  Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.  Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.  And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.  If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;  Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;  Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:  Deuteronomy 13:1-8

Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 4:1-2

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. Mark 13:31

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.  John 5:39

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.  And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.  Luke 4:16-21

And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?  And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.  The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:  In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.  And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?  Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.  And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?  And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.  And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.  Acts 8:30-39

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.  Acts 17:11-12

Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Matthew 21:42

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.  Matthew 22:29

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:  Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?  And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.  Luke 24:25-27

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? Luke 24:32

When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. John 2:22

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. John 7:38

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.  Luke 24:44-48

Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?  The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.  Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?  If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; John 10:32-35

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.  2 Timothy 4:1-4

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:  But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.  1 Peter 1:22-25

Jeremiah 36: And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,  2   Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.  3   It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.  4   Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.  5   And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:  6   Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD'S house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.  7   It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.  8   And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD'S house.  9  And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.  10   Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD'S house, in the ears of all the people.  11   When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,  12   Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.  13   Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.  14   Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.  15   And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.  16   Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.  17   And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?  18   Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.  19   Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.  20   And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.  21   So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.  22   Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.  23   And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.  24   Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.  25   Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.  26   But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.  27   Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,  28   Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.  29   And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?  30   Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.  31   And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.  32   Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.  Jeremiah 36

So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.  And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all these words;  Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.  And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:  Jeremiah 51:60-63

I am breaking my own rule here in that I need to add a quick note here so this important concept is not lost on the reader. In regards to what we have recorded in God’s Word in both Jeremiah’s chapters 36 and 51 it is important to consider how important the so-called originals are in God’s economy...

I was guilty of this for many years in my self-authoritative pronouncing things such as “in the originals it says...”

We have to acknowledge that there are no existing “originals” or if you will the actual written documents from the original authors. They do not exist and even God’s Word acknowledges this but God in His infinite power has preserved His Words for us despite us not having any of the “originals”.

For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Psalms 119:89

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105

Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever. Psalms 119:152

Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalms 119:160

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Isaiah 40:8

... My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever. Isaiah 59:21
