ESV and NIV (etc), geographically ignorant…More errors in the new versions…

The ESV and NIV contradict each other once again.

This time it is in regards to geography and where Jesus was during this time period.

In Mark 1:39 they correctly place Jesus in Galilee but somehow in the parallel passage of Luke 4:44 they have Jesus in Judea.

Judea is 70 miles away from Galilee.

The ESV has it footnoted for Luke 4:44 that some manuscripts have Galilee instead of Judea. The underlying answer for this is that the Alexandrian manuscripts once again prove that they are not God inspired. This is why the early churches, the New Testament churches, rejected these manuscripts. The true Christians back in those times knew for certain which were real and which were not. They lived and died by with the Antioch manuscripts because they knew what God’s true Words were.

And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons. Mark 1:39 ESV

So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons. Mark 1:39 NIV

And he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea. Luke 4:44 ESV

ESV Footnote: Some manuscripts Galilee

And he kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea. Luke 4:44 NIV

Here is what it should read as:

And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils. Mark 1:39 KJV

And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee. Luke 4:44 KJV
