Despite man's intentions and efforts, the pews of today's churches are mainly filled with heathen.
This is not my opinion but that of Jesus.
Jesus said " Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:21-23
Throughout history, according the Bible, it has always been a matter of the remnant verses "many".
Narrow is the way indeed…
How narrow is the way?
It is by one man alone.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6
Estimates of the world’s population at the time Noah range between 750 million to 4 billion. Taking an average of those widely ranging estimates gives us a compromise at 2,375,000,000.
When the flood came via God’s righteous judgment only 8 people out of an estimated 2 billion people were saved.
Out of over an estimated 2 million people who were led out of Egypt by God through His servant Moses, only two of those entered into the promise land.
Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved… Romans 9:27
But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. Romans 11:4-5
Throughout the Bible we see that indeed it is few there be that will find it.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 7:13-14
