In short the Bible gives us clear rolls for ourselves here on earth especially in regards to men and women. This goes back to the garden, just after the fall of man. We see that God gave specific curses to both the man and the woman. Men were to labor with their entire being in regards to work in general while the woman would travail in childbirth or in other words labor in childbirth.
What we see in feminism (woman’s equality) is women striving to lay hold on both curses. The sad thing is though is birth control and abortion has been a way to minimize the labor in childbirth curse on the part of the modern woman.
All of this is ungodly as it is selfish, murderous and essentially from the spirit of antichrist.
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Genesis 3:16-19
We have Jesus’ life here on earth as the model of submission that is to be mirrored within the marriage of a man and woman. Jesus submitted to the Father as the woman should submit to the husband. This very saying gets the flesh of many woman today in selfish uproars. Many men as well have fallen prey to this hateful rage against what God originally setup.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:5-8
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. Ephesians 5:21-28
The Bible clearly has given roles for everyone to follow but only few today adhere to it in obedience to God. When done properly and not out of selfish ambition then the true purpose of God in the lives of the obedient is clearly seen. This is not a promise of fleshly prosperity but one that has true eternal reward.
We also see that regardless of race, gender or position in life, God does not show partiality to anyone as we are all judged by His consistent and perfect standard. We are all saved only by the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons…Acts 10:34
For there is no respect of persons with God. Romans 2:11
In conclusion the plea from scriptures can be simply stated as do not try to endure under anyone else’s curse but be content and faithful in the role that God put you in.
