Looking at pornography, doing an Easter egg hunt with an easter bunny and going to see Santa Claus, what do these have in common?

These are all things done out of man's imaginations.

The pictures and movies of naked people are not the actual people but merely images. The easter bunny and Santa Claus are just imagined characters as well. While imaginative, God still considers these all sin.

Hear me out on this. Let's consider the facts and see what the Bible has to say about this.

People defend celebrations that have their origins in pagan customs and that distract men's attentions away from God and onto flesh pleasing activities by saying, "it's just imagination."

Where should the line of sin be drawn? Is it only when a physical act deemed by man as being wrong is committed? Or is it more than that?

Jesus drew the line of where sin starts and the imagination is definitely not off limits. Sin begins and is committed in the imaginations, in the minds, of men. A man does not have to lift a finger to offend God.

In the cases of partaking in celebrations that are not rooted in or approved of by the Bible, men not only sin  in their minds but they lay their hands on the sin by participating in the activities. In pornography man is guilty of sin in his mind and not a single physical act has to be committed for that sin to be offensive and very real to God. In participating in the Easter and Christmas pagan oriented traditions you sin in your mind as well as with your hands.

Read carefully God's Word on the matter:

...the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth...Genesis 8:21 KJV

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ... 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient...Romans 1:21, 28 KJV

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6 KJV

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3 KJV

Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. Titus 1:15 KJV

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: [22] But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. [27] Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: [28] But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:21-22, 27-28 KJV

God told us that just because we want to say something is clean or acceptable to God does not mean it is. Only God can cleanse the unclean.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying, If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No. Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean. Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean. Haggai 2:11-14
