I am calling evil evil here. The rainbow was meant for good but people have perverted it!
And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. Genesis 9:12-16

You do not have to cross the sea to see the Cross...
You do not have to cross the sea to witness to others so they can see the Cross.
There are too many here in the USA that need to see the Cross.
There are too many here that need to hear an unadulterated gospel message instead of the watered down lies and distortions they get from today's pulpits. Pulpits in America = Pulling people to the pit of hell...

"YOU CANNOT JUDGE ME!!!!"
This is the typical mantra of those who do not want to be told that they are sinning and in need of repentance.
Really???
God appointed people to judge people. There is a book devoted to this, Judges...
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. John 7:24

Salvation was provided not through our own works...but then there is this thing about obedience...
Obedience to the unsaved is a horrible idea when it involves submitting one's life to anyone or anything. This seems even more of a hostile concept when it is regarding submission to the God who created them. They see this as a roadblock to the their selfish desires.
A truly saved soul takes comfort and joy in obeying their Creator. Once born again they truly have a new heart and are indeed a new creation! Good works becomes their very nature.
I will submit unashamedly that the modern church puts far too little emphasis on the importance of works and bearing good fruit. These are what demonstrate true salvation. A branch that bears no fruit is thrown into the flames but a branch that bears good fruit brings glory to God!
A simple repeating after someone a mantra of a prayer (sinner's prayer, etc) in no way demonstrates that a soul is saved. An inspection of fruit is the only way to determine if there was potentially a true conversion.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10
Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:36-40.
If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him....If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. John 14:21, 23-24.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. John 15:1-14
...We ought to obey God rather than men. Acts 5:29
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12

My Family's vision: Selfless not selfish...stay on the Old Paths…
This is the message that should be centered in the churches of today. This is my family’s vision:
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:37-40
It is evident in many if not close to all churches today are nothing more than self-help centers catering to the narcissistic desires of those who make their homes there. They are more concerned with building up the egos and the happiness of the people than they are in teaching them to serve others in lieu of themselves.
Part of this is the fact that they encourage people to desire heaven as it is a better place to go to than hell is. They do this with more of an emphasis on escaping the flames of eternal hell instead of actually being able to go to heaven purely because God their Father is there. Job understood this fact clearly but too many self-professing Christians certainly do not get it. They are instead seeking heaven for selfish reasons and not for God.
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God…Job 19:25-26
Today’s so-called churches encourage a social atmosphere that entertains the flesh and the need to be accepted amongst the crowd verses instructing them to be able to stand alone in a dark world in order to pull lost souls away from the flames of the pending wrath to come.
They teach humanism, where the end of all being is the happiness of man instead of actual Biblical Christianity where the end of all being is God….
But Jesus taught otherwise:
And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Mark 10:44-45
We were created for His good pleasure and not our own…
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11
So my family’s vision is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind and to love our neighbours as ourselves.
We seek to be servants of all because Jesus came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
We seek to do this through ministries of the spiritual building up of others, encouraging discipleship, encouraging nutritional and physical well-being of others and any other avenue of ministering to others that God puts in our path. This path is the old paths as set down in His word.
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls…Jeremiah 6:16

Regarding Gay Pride…
There is a lot of rhetoric being thrown around these days regarding “Gay Pride”.
Here is what God has to say about their pride and their choice of lifestyle:
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. Psalm 10:4
When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. Proverbs 11:2
For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak. Psalm 59:12
A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. Proverbs 29:23
Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom. Proberbs 13:10
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Proverbs 8:13
The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? Obadiah 1:3
Some may argue that these scriptures are “Old Testament” and with Jesus all things are fulfilled and somehow are different. Here is what God has to say about that…
And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. Mark 7:18-23
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:16
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:18-32
For those hard of hearing let me repeat this one specific passage and keep in mind that I was not the one who wrote it I only believe it to be the word of God:
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:31-32
Keep in mind that it says “they which commit such things are worthy of death”. This negates the argument that only the Old Testament demanded such an outcome.
Do not misinterpret what is being said by me here. While they are worthy of death God has offered them life regardless through the sacrifice of His own Son.
We are certainly not under a God ordained nor a God led government that has His authority to pass such judgment nor will we be until Jesus comes to assume rule over this world once again. It is up to us to preach the Gospel to these lost souls with the intentions of pulling them out of the flames.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Jude 1:21-23
Anyone who is completely honest with scripture cannot conclude that this lifestyle is approved at any level by God. With this said, a Christian cannot argue for the support of this lifestyle. To condone it at any level relegates them worthy of death per scriptures. See Romans 1:32: ...they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them...

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil…
If this was "the Church" it would be calling them as well as all unregenerate souls to repentance, not asking for forgiveness...
They unregenerate need to ask forgiveness from the God that Created them, not the other way around.
Pope says Church should ask forgiveness from gays: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-pope-church-idUSKCN0ZC12E?il=0
Many so-called 'Christian' churches and leaders are coming out saying homosexuality is not a sin. This article points out that "The (Catholic) Church teaches that homosexual tendencies are not sinful but homosexual acts are".
The Bible teaches that not only is the act a sin but that sin is sin even if it just stays in one's mind. See Matthew 5:21-22 and 27-28 and many other places where this is made clear, sin is sin even if it is just in the mind...
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Isaiah 5:20-21
Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul. Ezekiel 3:17-21
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3
More:
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Matthew 5:21-22
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:27-28

In God we trust. Really? What god is that...?
They may say:
“Put God back in the schools.”
“Put God back in our country.”
“In God we trust.”
“God is my “co-pilot”.”
“God is not my “co- pilot”, he is in full control!”
“I love God”
“God is love”
Ad nauseam…
But…
While there are a lot of people today throwing around the name “god”, a close examination of their outward sayings, lifestyles and actions makes it more and more obvious that they may think that they are referencing the God of the Bible but in fact their lives and motives more accurately indicate that they are truly referencing a different god.
...the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not... 2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV
You cannot serve two Gods. A soul that desires a god to serve their every need is a lost soul. We were created for His good pleasure and not the other way around…

Are you busy about doing work for God's Kingdom or are you busy doing your own "thing"?
Are you ready?
The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. But they made light of it , and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them . But when the king heard thereof , he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen. Matthew 22:2-14 KJV
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so ; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Matthew 25:1-13 KJV
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13 KJV

Pandering to the "evangelical, right", right...
Donald Trump today was pandering to yet another special interest group. This was mainly to the self-professing lukewarm Christians. The evangelicals who do not personally evangelize love this guy and sadly there are a few that do, do so as well, because they believe as the non-believing liberals of the left do and that is that the ends justify the means. They love this lesser of two evils because he will get them what they want.
When he says things such as "“I think maybe that will be my greatest contribution to Christianity — and other religions, is to allow you, when you talk religious liberty, to go and speak openly and if you like somebody or want somebody to represent you, you should have the right to do it,” and "We’ve got to spiritize this country" you must see that he cannot see the difference between Christianity from any other religion.
I will say/ask it once more, where does God give us, in His Word, support for freedom of religion? As a believer I will not have a part it in. I will exercise the right of free speech while I am still allowed to but I will not provide any support for the other half of that amendment crafted for a secular nation.
See this link for more on what I am talking about in regards to the first amendment, etc. I need folks to provide me biblical support for freedom of religion other than God turning man over to a reprobate mind and Satan, The irony in the first amendment...

Frank Logsdon From the NASV to KJV
I feel like I need to confess as if I was in an AA meeting. My name is John and I am a recovering NASV user...I once fell under the delusion that James White knew the truth. As Logsdon discovered, so did I, there are grave dangers in the new versions based out of the Alexandrian/Catholic manuscripts...

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. It was never a gun issue. It has always been an issue about the minds and hearts of people…
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire….Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:21-22 and 27-28
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:5-6
For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies…Matthew 15:19
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:5
…the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth…Genesis 8:21
The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words. Proverbs 15:26
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts? Matthew 9:4
Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;) 1 Kings 8:39
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:10
All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. Proverbs 16:2
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened…Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves…And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Romans 1:21, 24 and 28

Emphasis on the Rapture's timing can be an important issue...Rehashing an older post due to it's critical message...
I have recently been hearing more and more from folks who are excited to be getting out of here soon. They are understandably sickened by the utter depravity that has been embraced by this world.
Before digging into this subject again I must emphasize that "He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him." Proverbs 18:13.
The hope for many today is that they believe that will be taken out of this world soon so they will no longer have to deal with the hard job of standing up against evil or to endure the evils of this world for much longer. No scripture said it was ever going to be physically or mentally easy only that we would not have to to it alone in the sense that God is always with us. We may not have other people by our side but rest assured God is there. In a sense we can be assured that it will be spiritually easy as His yoke is indeed easy.
In the previous post I showed that the dangers of the pre-trib mentality is that for most it is their excuse to sit back and wait verses actually continuing on in the Lord's work here on earth as He seeks for souls to be returned to Him.
I was a hard core supporter of the pre-trib doctrine for most of my Christian walk until I actually started to scrub the scriptures for support of this stance. I was left with nothing at all other than an understanding that I was using scriptural gymnastics to support my position.
I was encouraged to sit in a Bible study the other day where a supporter of the Pre-Trib rapture actually emphasized that we need to be busy about the Lord's work until we are taken out of here. This does not happen often when this subject is taught so it was good to hear this brother do this. My concern is that the teaching itself tends to lend to a greater tendency to become too relaxed. I have seen this happen far too often.
It is no wonder that this doctrine appeared in the Church about the time she started to become more and more luke warm and complacent.
I put a challenge out on social media the other day. It was a simple one. I was merely asking for one scripture that contained the word 'tribulation' that provided specific support for the Pre-Trib doctrine. I have received no real answers back yet and I am still waiting.
Some may take issue with this question with the argument that goes along the line that we use scriptures to support the doctrine of trinity even though the word 'trinity' is not in the scriptures. This argument cannot apply here as we have scriptures located in and around the idea of the rapture that contain the specific word 'tribulation'. My ask is to show how any of these scriptures support the idea of a pre-trib rapture.
Before the 1800's you will be very hard pressed to find anyone who supported this idea. In the early church they were well aware of tribulation and even looked forward to being ministers and martyrs within the "Great Tribulation"
I decided to use today's post to help answer this question.
There are many verses containing tribulation but there are two that specifically speak to the time of the rapture. The key word's to pay attention to are "after" and all the words that clearly speak to the Lord's second coming. Note that His second coming is not going to be a surprise to anyone, once it is actually happening. The timing of when this happens is the surprise as no one knows this day or hour but, rest assured, scriptures tells us once it does happen, all will be aware...
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:29-31 KJV
But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. Mark 13:24-27, 37 KJV
In Revelation we see the darkening of the sun and moon as described in Matthew 24 and Mark 14.
And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Revelation 6:9-14
Keep in mind that there is a difference between the wrath of God and this "Great Tribulation". The Wrath of God is upon the ungodly while the tribulation is brought upon the saints by the forces that oppose God (anti-christ, rulers of this world, etc...).
We, as Christians, ought to know that if we are truly living set apart from the world as peculiar people for Christ then the world will come after us with much tribulation. This is even before this "great tribulation" that the scriptures speak of.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV
Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22 KJV
For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know. 1 Thessalonians 3:4 KJV
So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: [5] Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 2 Thessalonians 1:4-5 KJV
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 1:9 KJV
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. [10] Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Revelation 2:9-10 KJV
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 7:14 KJV

The irony in the first amendment...
Our's is Godless political system from the ground up.
That is why we need prisons.
Under the Mosaic law there were no prisons. There was no need for them. Under God's rule right and wrong is very clear as are the consequences.
Under man's rule, this is not the case. All is relative. This includes our's here in the US.
What we have here is a system that allows for ungodly religions under the guise of freedom. Only in Christ can one be truly free but that does not comport with man's philosophies underlying their self-ruling systems.
I am not saying we can or should change the system itself only that the system should be called out for the evils that it allows and that we as Christians should stand up strong in our opposition to those who are opposed to our God.
The same amendment that grants the ungodly religions the right to worship here in the US ironically allows for us Christians to stand up and preach against them at the same time. At least for now we can...
I see the so-called right of free speech getting more and more restrictive. I have seen this on the streets first hand, especially on state owned institutions of so-called higher learning.
Speak up and stand firm while you still can and even when its made illegal do it anyways.
We ought to obey God rather than man, right?
And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them. Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. Acts 5:27-42

The war is over absolute truth...
If the enemy can blame an inanimate object for the sin of an unregenerate soul and can decide for themselves to identify with whatever gender provides them the most carnal satisfaction then assuredly this enemy's objective is much deeper than gun control and bathroom rights.
The war is, at it's core, against truth. More specifically it is over absolute truth.
Once the powers that be have determined that absolute truths are absolutely not absolute then we will know for certain that we are living in the last days...
Those that war against absolute truths are in fact standing on shifting sands of fallacious lies and are in fact warring against their very own Creator.
Reality check here, we have already reached the tipping point where our so-called leaders have turned their fists upwards in rebellion towards God and have determined that truth will be determined by them and not their Creator. The clay is demanding to tell the Potter on exactly how things ought to go...
People are your lamps full?
Things are going to get worse from here on out. If you doubt me then read your Bible again and circle back to me with some coherent talking points that can prove me wrong.

Fallout from the removing of the Gold standard...
X' Marks The Spot - Wages Started Losing When The Dollar Delinked From Gold In 1971
"... it would be invaluable for the left to begin to come to terms with the crucial role the gold standard played, and again can play, in restoring a climate of equitable prosperity."
"As it happens, “X” correlates with Nixon shutting down the Bretton Woods gold standard in 1971 and the epic failure to get it fixed and restored in 1973. The drag, after a modest lag, filtered into the working economy. The rest is persistent stagnation for median families."
"It was the destruction of the (dilute) gold standard which precipitated the death, or at least long coma, of the American Dream. That, in turn, caused the ensuing degradation “in our moral, social, political and economic values” as America turned Hobbesian."
"Therefore, I respectfully ask that progressives open their hearts to exploring the possibility, just the possibility, that the gold standard would go a long way toward restoring both economic prosperity and economic justice for all..."

YOLO – you only live once…unless…
For the unregenerate the phrase YOLO may be somewhat accurate. As per society’s definition It is a terrible mantra to live by. This is clearly shown in scriptures. Any true believer should keep their distance from such thinking.
According to Wikipedia YOLO is an acronym for "you only live once". Similar to Latin "carpe diem" ("seize the day"), it implies that one should enjoy life, even if that entails taking risks, as if there would not be another chance for it. The phrase and acronym are both used in youth culture and music, and were both popularized by the 2011 song "The Motto" by rapper Drake.
Please do not look up that so-called song as it has foul language which is a further indication how degraded our society is when it is influenced by such filth.
Refer to Solomon’s own vain experience regarding YOLO by reading the book of Ecclesiastes. After his own pursuit of earthly “enjoyment” he summarized it all with:
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
Everyone does once, a physical death but then there is THE Judgment:
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment… Hebrews 9:27 KJV
One must be born again to overcome the futile concept of YOLO. The crucial need of being born again is that it is the only remedy to the humanly unsurmountable problem of sin. If one is not born again they will not see the kingdom of God. They will be forever separated from their Creator in the appropriately designated place of utter torment called hell. Only true believers can grasp this concept and understand why it is just and true…
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:2-8 KJV
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Peter 1:23 KJV
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Romans 8:13 KJV
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. Romans 14:8 KJV
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. Philippians 1:21-22 KJV
And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:2-5
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.…Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 13:24-30, 36-50

The only answer to any current event, regardless how tragic is repentance, being born again, and obedience to God....
Luke 13:2-5
So whatever the tragedy that is being reported the only thing that matters is whether the souls involved are or were right with God.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. [6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. [8] The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. [21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:3, 5-8, 16-21
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. [23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. [24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. John 14:6, 21, 23-24

Another example of God's name being used in vain...
This is a clear example of using God's name in vain.
Stephen Curry is reportedly a Christian and even if he was not these words of God out of these Psalms were used contrary to God's intentions.
The correct context of what taking the name of the Lord in vain goes much deeper such as misrepresenting God's name by incorrectly using His Words to further your own agendas or satiate your own desires. In essence when you do this you are making a false god that says things that you want him to say verses what the one true Living God actually said. In doing this one violates two of God's commandments.
In reality the God of LeBron and the NBA and many if not all of their fanatics is Basketball. Broad indeed is the road to destruction. The truth here will bring much hate towards me but it must be noted that I was not the one who said to set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2), God did.
In regards to the case reported in the link below, God is not at all concerned about basketball.
There are souls heading to hell. There are souls that need reconciling back to their Creator.
There are more important things that God is involved in than trivial bouncing balls.
LeBron James Invokes Imprecatory Psalms Against Curry, Warriors In Postgame Interview
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.Exodus 20:4-7

International ALERT Academy Cadets Texas 6th Charlie June 2016 Meeting
While other organizations have succumbed to the world's pressures and fallen further away from God, I love the fact there is still an organization that my son and I can work and learn together and learn how to better serve others through the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord!
Today we met for a quick inspection and then some great service work in repairing some picnic tables for the ALERT Campus.
Here is a great place to learn more about this awesome program: http://www.alertcadet.org/
"Assisting fathers to win and keep the hearts of their 8 to 17 year old sons"
The ALERT Cadet program started in 1996 as an outgrowth of the ALERT program, with the vision to raise up godly young men who would be “Strong to Overcome” the evil one, from 1 John 2:13, and mighty in spirit. Our goal is to assist fathers in turning their hearts to their sons and leading their sons into biblical manhood. The ALERT Cadet program is a tool which a wise father can use to assist him in raising up godly sons.

World Missions Bearing Precious Seed!
We have been blessed to be able to participate in preparing thousands of books containing the Gospel of John and Romans to be sent to Zambia. We have helped with approximately 5,000 so far with a goal of 250,000. This goal is being worked on collectively by our team as well as other teams abroad.
Please pray for this effort and that souls will be saved for God's glory.
I want to thank Tom and Jane Burch for coordinating this effort on our end. I also thank all those who have helped. It has been a joy working with these wonderful soldiers of our LORD!

Fervent heat, coming soon to a city near you. Are you ready???
Trust me, there will be many false or mocked alarms like this one until God's plan unfolds...But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10
Nothing that man can produce can match God's fervent heat which is coming soon to a city near, well, check that, coming to every city...

CCM is a gateway drug, just say no...
Aside from the worldly and fleshly out of balance issues with rhythm over melody, the so-called Contemporary Christian music movement has opened the door to many sinful issues. CCM is obvious a gateway drug for sinners that allows them to feel comfortable and excused within their sin.
Sad how the church has been so blinded in this and just about every other issue out there.
One of many cases in point provided here:

Folks, get on your knees and pray. Get in the Word of God and stay there. Just say no to the world...Stop compromising with the world!

‘Just as I am’ does not mean ‘stay just as you are’...
The modern “Christian” Church today preaches a false gospel of “stay just as you are”.
They do this in spite of Paul’s stating “Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” (Romans 6:1-2)
The church today has perverted and thus neglected the command of Jesus Christ to “go and sin no more”. They have taken “Come Just as You Are” and twisted it through their teachings to be interpreted as “Stay just as you are”.
The modern church says to the unregenerate: “Come, we will make you feel right at home”. When the sinner’s home is the world this is a backwards thing to say and do from a biblical perspective...
The church should be nothing like the world and she should not be inviting non-believers into her congregations and sanctuaries of worship and fellowship...
The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation. Lamentations 1:10
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Ephesians 5:11
The church should be preaching the correct Gospel message which ought to include “come out of her (the world)!” just as Jesus did throughout His ministry on earth and which God will send His angel to say one final time in the last day.
“Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
Believers should not feel right at home in the world as this world is not their home (see Hebrews 11 below). We are in the world not of the world.
Go and sin no more should be the cry of the church today as it was our Lord’s.
Jesus said “sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee” to the impotent man who could not walk (John 5:14) and to the woman caught in adultery he said the same, “go, and sin no more” (John 8:11).
Hebrews 11
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.
13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.
23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.
32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
“Just as I am” is how the sinner comes to the Lord but it is not the state that the “new creature” remains in...
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Just as I am - Charlotte Elliot 1835
Just as I am - without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
-O Lamb of God, I come!
Just as I am - and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee, whose blood can cleanse each spot,
-O Lamb of God, I come!
Just as I am - though toss'd about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
-O Lamb of God, I come!
Just as I am - poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need, in Thee to find,
-O Lamb of God, I come!
Just as I am - Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
-O Lamb of God, I come!
Just as I am - Thy love unknown
Has broken every barrier down;
Now to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
-O Lamb of God, I come!
Just as I am - of that free love
The breadth, length, depth, and height to prove,
Here for a season, then above,
-O Lamb of God, I come.

Textual Criticism = "Yea hath God said..."
"We have given up the Pope, for he has blundered often and terribly; but we shall not set up instead of him a horde of little popelings fresh from college. Are these correctors of Scripture infallible? Are we now to believe that infallibility is with learned men? Now, Farmer Smith, when you have read your Bible, and have enjoyed its precious promises, you will have, to-morrow morning, to go down the street to ask the scholarly man at the parsonage whether this portion of the Scripture belongs to the inspired part of the Word, or whether it is of dubious authority. We shall gradually be so bedoubted and becriticized, that only a few of the most profound will know what is Bible, and what is not, and they will dictate to all the rest of us. I have no more faith in their mercy than in their accuracy: they will rob us of all that we hold most dear, and glory in the cruel deed. This same reign of terror we shall not endure, for we still believe that God revealeth himself rather to babes than to the wise and prudent, and we are fully assured that our own old English version of the Scriptures is sufficient for plain men for all purposes of life, salvation, and godliness. We do not despise learning, but we will never say of culture or criticism, "These be thy gods, O Israel!" - Charles Spurgeon
I am critical of some texts myself but not in the spirit that Satan used to cause Adam and Eve to question God's word when he said "yea hath God said". I am critical of and I reject texts such as those that had their origin in Alexandria and the likes.
I reject Alexandrian texts and choose those texts which came out of Antioch as these were the ones used by the true church at the time just after our Lord ascended into heaven. In this sense I am a textual critic, one who rejects manuscripts such as the Codex Sinaiticus and Vaticanus.
I stand in respectable company such as Charles Spurgeon and many others today but these are not as potent as proof as the power that the KJV has shown in my life. It has proven itself to me through much prayer and study to be truly God's word.

KJV gives the clearer and stronger reading of original intent over the ESV.
Once again, no surprises here...
Profession versus Confession. Those weaker in the understanding of English and the etymology of these words may miss this but here we go none the less...
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 KJV
VS:
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 ESV
ὁμολογία – homologia
profession:
subjectively: whom we profess to be ours
objectively: profession [confession] i.e. what one professes [confesses]
Profession :
PROFES'SION, noun [Latin professio.]
1. Open declaration; public avowal or acknowledgment of one's sentiments or belief; as professions of friendship or sincerity; a profession of faith or religion.
The professions of princes, when a crown is the bait, are a slender security.
The Indians quickly perceive the coincidence or the contradiction between professions and conduct, and their confidence or distrust follows of course.
2. The business which one professes to understand and to follow for subsistence; calling; vocation; employment; as the learned professions. We speak of the profession of a clergyman, of a lawyer, and of a physician or surgeon; the profession of lecturer on chimistry or mineralogy. But the word is not applied to an occupation merely mechanical.
3. The collective body of persons engaged in a calling. We speak of practices honorable or disgraceful to a profession
4. Among the Romanists, the entering into a religious order, by which a person offers himself to God by a vow of inviolable obedience, chastity and poverty.
Confession:
CONFES'SION, noun
1. The acknowledgment of a crime, fault or something to one's disadvantage; open declaration of guilt, failure, debt, accusation, etc.
With the mouth confession is made to salvation. Romans 10:10.
2. Avowal; the act of acknowledging; profession.
Who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession 1 Timothy 6:13.
3. The act of disclosing sins or faults to a priest; the disburdening of the conscience privately to a confessor; sometimes called auricular confession
4. A formulary in which the articles of faith are comprised; a creed to be assented to or signed, as a preliminary to admission into a church.
5. The acknowledgment of a debt by a debtor before a justice of the peace, etc., on which judgment is entered and execution issued.

God of my Salvation, hear...by Charles Wesley
Great Hymn.
I wonder if the Methodists still believe this...
I went to a Methodist church as a young boy and do not believe that they follow in their founder's (John, Charles or George) nor in Jesus' footsteps. Sad...
But it is a great hymn...
God of my salvation, hear,
And help me to believe;
Simply do I now draw near,
Thy blessing to receive:
Full of guilt alas! I am,
But to thy wounds for refuge flee:
Friend of sinners, spotless Lamb,
Thy blood was shed for me.
Standing now as newly slain,
To thee I lift mine eye,
Balm of all my grief and pain,
Thy blood is always nigh:
Now as yesterday the same,
Thou art, and will for ever be:
Friend of sinners, spotless Lamb,
Thy blood was shed for me.
Nothing have I, Lord, to pay,
Nor can thy grace procure;
Empty send me not away,
For I, thou knowest, am poor:
Dust and ashes is my name,
My all is sin, and misery:
Friend of sinners, spotless Lamb,
Thy blood was shed for me.
No good word, or work, or thought,
Bring I to buy thy grace:
Pardon I accept unbought,
Thine offer embrace:
Coming, as at first I came,
To take and not bestow on thee:
Friend of sinners, spotless Lamb,
Thy blood was shed for me.
Savior from thy wounded side,
I never will depart;
Here will I my spirit hide,
When I am pure in heart,
Till my place above I claim,
This only shall be all my plea,
Friend of sinners, spotless Lamb,
Thy blood was shed for me.
