Trust in the LORD, and do good...

When we trust in the LORD and submit our hearts under His authority and we do good for His glory then He gives us the desires of our hearts.

He does not fulfill our petitions in order for us to pursue our carnal desires. He does so in order to satiate those desires that stem from being in Him, from walking in His ways and obeying Him.

God is not a means to and end but instead the only way to live righteously and for His glory!

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
