It is foolish to not hear someone out when they bring up scriptures that challenges your worldview. Scripture tells us to prove all things. So when someone has a word to say against any of your cherished traditions or practices and they base their admonition towards you in scriptures it is wise for you to listen. It is even wiser for you to change your ways if the scriptures do not support your current positions.
