Backslider Beware

Don't let anyone say you are ok at any level if you are "backsliding".

The eternal security of a backslider is yet another mishandled doctrine of the modern "church".

The early church, right after Christ, taught on this doctrine within Biblical parameters and in the correct context.

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. [13] Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness. [14] The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself. Proverbs 14:12-14 KJV

Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord God of hosts. Jeremiah 2:19 KJV

Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ezekiel 3:20 KJV.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:31 KJV

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12 KJV
