Have you been deceived?

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Matthew 24:24   For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 

Mark 13:22   For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. 

Consider this:

Matthew 21:43   Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. 

Who is Jesus talking to in the above scripture?

Romans 9:6-8 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

8   That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Hebrews 11:9-10, 16   By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 

10   For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 

16   But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Hebrews 12:22   But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 

Revelation 3:12   Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Conclusion: The Modern church has the incorrect focus. If you stay awake during church you know what I am talking about. Once you see it you will feel betrayed as I did and then you should be motivated to help others understand what the early New Testament church knew all along. It was not until the last couple of centuries that the incorrect doctrines were embraced.

Read your Bibles cover to cover and keep everything in the proper context. God is a God of order and does not do things out of context.
