The ends do not justify the means for the Bible believing Christian!

Obeying God is not legalism if you do it because He is worthy and because you love Him. In this same manner it is never "pharisaical" to obey God.

I say this because people such as myself, in times past, tend to be quick to give anecdotal "proof" in the validity of not following God's Word. All the while saying they are following God's word.

Just because following the world's emotional and self-fulling way in certain circumstances may yield what appears to be positive results does not constitute it as approved of God, especially if it counters His word.

I just read an example of this on a separate thread that once again shows that this is common practice.

I expect that comment made on the other thread will get many 'likes' because it feels good and tickles the emotional ear just right. Yet as I read through the post many, many verses came to mind that said it was wrong as per a Biblical perspective.

We are to obey God not for what we get out of it but because He is holy.

It is not for us to manipulate the 'means' in order to justify the 'means'.

If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. John 15:14
