Regardless of anyone's feelings those, along with emotions and personal and selfish desires, do not negate or change one's genetic designation.
Thus by all scientific and more importantly Biblical definitions they are being dumb on purpose.

Transgender defined: denoting or relating to a person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond with their birth sex.
Science tells us that the sex of an individual is determined by a pair of sex chromosomes, pure and simple.
There may be some exceptions, some involving mutations, etc, but they are just that, exceptions.
Science does not recognize feelings or a "sense of personal identity" as being a determining factor at the genetic level, at all.
