Humanism essentially says that you are only human and will mess up, make mistakes or do bad things. It says that since you are just like everyone else then being human is ok...
The Christian church today has adopted this humanistic mindset as part of it's twisted doctrine in that many if not most pastors today preach that it is essentially ok if you sin because they teach that you are, after all, only human and a sinner. They then sugar coat it by saying "at least you are saved and under grace now".
By now some readers are reaching for their excuses. They don't want to chance having to give up their favorite vice (sin).
The church today is very much confused over what is a sinner and what is a saint, or as Paul put it, a new creature.
The church today, with its humanistic doctrine, makes those sitting in the pews comfortable in their sins.
Jesus called sinners to repent and to stop sinning.
He said to "sin no more".
This is the correct mindset a true believer ought to have and the end goal should be to sin no more.
When a true believer does sin then that sin is exceedingly sinful to them and they immediately repent. They desire to sin no more. They fully understand the command of Jesus to "sin no more".
The church has compromised with humanism and is now a comfotable haven for sinners who love their sin. Pastors preach a gospel of greasy grace while Jesus emphatically taught to repent and sin no more.
Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. John 5:14
...And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. John 8:11
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Luke 5:32
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?...What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Romans 6:1-2,15
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.Romans 7:11-13
Don't start the day off with an ungodly and humanistic mindset. One that has you convinced that you are bound to sin and that there is nothing you can do about it.
Instead start the day off with the correct mindset and purpose in your heart to go and sin no more.
