Forgive and Restore

We must not forget the importance of forgiveness. Jesus said your soul depends on it!

But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.  Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Matthew 5:22-24

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.  Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.  For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. Galatians 6:1-3

God does not want Americans,..He wants people to to repent and come to Him...

What I am saying here will no doubt upset people as it did me years ago when I was serving in the US Navy. I was very proud to be an American at that time, rest assured.

I have since realized that as a born again believer I am but living here temporarily. My citizenship is in heaven and no where else. I am here on a mission to save souls. That's what the Father wants so that is what I want.

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:20-21

For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Hebrews 13:14

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,1 Peter 1:4

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; Ephesians 2:19

We are living in a definite age of apostasy. I was completely blind to this fact until I really started to study God's word and through much prayer I have come to see that I had been living a lie.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  2 Timothy 2:15

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:21

You will will either come to terms with the reality of this or you will simply make excuses around it.

Why did the founding fathers of this country go with the generic references of God verses calling upon the name that every knee will bow to, the name above all names, Jesus Christ?

My argument that we are not a Christian nation today is becoming more and more realized by just looking around as our society continues to rebel against the One who died for their sins. I would submit that we may have never really been a true Christian nation. Keep in mind that even the country from which we rebelled against also considered itself to be  "Christian" for the most part. In fact they even had their own state sponsored so-called "Christian" church...

The faith of the few true believers back in the founding days of our country is not openly represented in the actual founding documents. There were some genuine believers during that time no doubt but by their own words two of the prime architects of our country, Franklin and Jefferson, denied that Jesus was the Christ, God in the flesh. The Apostle John, a man who walked with Jesus, stated emphatically otherwise. In fact in John's letters he stated that those whoever denied that Jesus is the Christ is antichrist...

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.  Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: but he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. 1 John 2:22-23

 This was written by Ben Franklin on March 9. 1790. He died a little more than a month later on April 17, 1790 “.... As to Jesus of Nazareth...I have...some Doubts as to his Divinity: tho’ it is a Question I do not dogmatise upon, having never studied it.”

Feel free to check the context as it is intact even in the above abbreviated quote... http://www.worldpolicy.org/sites/default/files/uploaded/image/Franklin-religion.pdf

Thomas Jefferson wrote this on August 4, 1820: “That Jesus did not mean to impose himself on mankind as the son of God, physically speaking, I have been convinced by the writings of men more learned than myself in that lore. But that he might conscientiously believe himself inspired from above, is very possible.” Again, check the context for yourself... http://www.let.rug.nl/usa/presidents/thomas-jefferson/letters-of-thomas-jefferson/jefl261.php

It would be hard for anyone to argue that these two played very major roles in the founding of our country...

My point is this,  God does not want just Americans,..He wants all people to to repent and come to Him, regardless of their earthly citizenship...Your citizenship in America does not make you a Christian as a non-christian country cannot save you, only the blood of Jesus Christ can!

We need to, as true believers, have the same unction and desire, to seek and save the lost while there is still time to do so.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:9-10

And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Jude 22-23

Fatal and inconsistent flaw in logic

Sad but this does highlight a fatal (literally) and inconsistent flaw in logic in the worldview of Evolution.

Liberalism is but a subset of so-called evolutionary thinking...

Walk in unity...in true fellowship...in sound doctrine...

Yes, I said it, sound doctrine.

Sadly, sound doctrine and discussions around doctrine in general seems to be avoided in most churches and so-called Christian fellowships and “bible studies”.

The Bible clearly states that this practice is in grave error.

Ephesians 4:1-6   I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2   With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3   Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4   There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5   One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6   One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Paul was encouraging the Ephesians to keep the fellowship active and unified within the fullness of the will of the Father. This can only occur with the gathering of believers building each other up in sound doctrine.

While doctrine is not directly mentioned in word specifically it certainly is the main focus of what Paul is stating here.

This unity of fellowship is active in the sense that it is a continuous walk in what we were created to do. Paul described it as a vocation. Today vocation seems to only be thought of as a professional career per se but in the Bible it is specific to our calling to serve God. The writer to the Hebrews referred to this as a profession and this carries the same implication in that we are committed to God’s cause without compromise.

Webster’s 1828 defines vocation as: VOCA'TION, noun [Latin vocatio, from voco, to call. See Voice.]  1. Among divines, a calling by the will of God; or the bestowment of God's distinguishing grace upon a person or nation, by which that person or nation is put in the way of salvation...

Hebrews 10:23- 25   Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;)
24   And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25   Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Webster’s 1828 defines profession as: PROFES'SION, noun [Latin professio.] 1. Open declaration; public avowal or acknowledgment of one's sentiments or belief; as professions of friendship or sincerity; a profession of faith or religion.

Paul said this walk was to be done “with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.” God’s love for mankind is longsuffering in that He would rather none to perish but for all to come to repentance. Within the fellowship we are called to have the same attitude towards our fellow believers not wanting them to waver from out of the faith, away from repentance. In Ezekiel chapter 3 (and 33) we see that the righteous can do just that. We are called to do whatever we can to warn them if they decide to go back into iniquity. We are to endeavor to keep them in the faith, in the unity of the Spirit as Paul encouraged the Ephesians.

For that matter, God would rather none to perish, and this should be the core focus in the building up of the saints within the construct of what true Christian fellowship is.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Ezekiel 3:17-21   Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
18    When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
19    Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20    Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21    Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

Paul’s encouragement to the Ephesians is that they were not to not just hang around, do ritualistic things, eat a meal now and then, and play a few games and then wrap it all up and call it fellowship. This seems to be the common practice today. Paul’s direction was clear in that the fellowship was to be specifically unified in the doctrine of Christ. In other letters by Paul, and Peter as well, this is stated as being of one mind. Here, to the Ephesians, he states that it has to be not just as a body but in the Spirit as well, rooted in faith in the Lord.

Romans 12:16    Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

1 Corinthians 1:10   Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

2 Corinthians 13:11    Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

Philippians 1:27    Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel

Philippians 2:2-8   Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3    Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4    Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5    Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6    Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7    But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8    And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Philippians 3:16   Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

Philippians 4:2   I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

So-called fellowships today are split because of differing doctrines.  Paul was encouraging us all, not just the Ephesians, to avoid this by staying focused on the essentials of our faith. Jesus, the perfect sacrifice, was killed for our sins. He was buried and then rose again victorious in the defeat of death. Paul references this as paramount in importance in regards to the unity of fellowship when he spoke of the one baptism.

What Paul is saying to the Ephesians falls directly in line with what God’s ultimate design was intended in regards to the fellowship of believers, the true biblical church.

As mentioned earlier, the church today, falsely referred to often as fellowship, sees itself as a place for believers and non-believers to gather to hear preaching, to pray, to sing worship songs and to hang out together. This is not the full essence or focus of what God had intended for the gathering of believers in what is called church or fellowship.

Jeremiah stated clearly that Israel’s fall came as a direct consequence for her bringing in non-believers into her sanctuary and congregation. Her compromise with the way she conducted “church” led to her falling away from God.

Lamentations 1:10 The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.

Here are several passages that lend to what the Biblical definition of what fellowship is:

Act 2:41-42   Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

1 Timothy 4:12  Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

1 Corinthians 1:10  Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
1 Corinthians 10:20-21  But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18   Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15   And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16   And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17   Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18   And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Ephesians 5:1-21  Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2   And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
3   But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
4   Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
5   For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6   Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7   Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8  For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9   (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10   Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11   And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12   For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13   But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14   Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16   Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17   Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18   And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19   Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20   Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21   Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

1 John 1:1-7  That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2  (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5  This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6  If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Psalms 133:1-3  Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

Philippians 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2   Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
9   Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10   That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11   And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13   For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14   Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15   That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16   Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
17   Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
18   For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.

Romans 14:19  Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

1 Thessalonians 5:11-22  Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
12  And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
13   And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
14   Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
15   See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
16   Rejoice evermore.
17   Pray without ceasing.
18   In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19   Quench not the Spirit.
20   Despise not prophesyings.
21   Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22   Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Romans 16:1-18  Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
18   For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

2 Timothy 3:10-17   But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
11   Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12   Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13   But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14   But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15   And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16   All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17   That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Some point to the following passage as proof the Bible allows for non-believers in the church. When kept in proper context with the rest of the Bible one can only conclude that this is a passage that directs the church on how to behave in the off chance that a non-believer should pass by or enter in. It does not state that you should ever invite them in. Remember in Lamentations 1:10 where it directly commands that they should not and for good reasons.

1 Corinthians 14:22-25 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

Fellowship should be centered on God and not ourselves.  Again, we must have the correct focus at all times.

1 John 1:6-10   If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7   But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8   If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9   If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10   If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Ephesians 4:1-6 as discussed at the onset agrees with the rest of scripture in that fellowship ought to be guarded in unity and focused on doing God’s will which is building up the believers in seeking the lost souls for the purpose of redemption and reunification with their Creator. The unity that the fellowship of believers is called into cannot happen without being of the same mind under the leadership of Jesus Christ. This unity cannot happen unless doctrine is understood and agreed upon which most churches today avoid sadly enough.

Truth is hate speach...

True believers should not be surprised...

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Matthew 24:9

He Came To Die

In His own words Jesus came not to be born but to die, and to die for the most important cause throughout all eternity, the reconciliation of men with their Creator.

Here are some specific words from Jesus about why He really came to earth as a man:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Matthew 5:17

But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Matthew 9:13

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. John 10:10-11

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it Matthew 10:34-30

I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled? But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished! Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Luke 12:49-53

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 12:46-48

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:16-21

Most people tend to focus only on vs 16 in John chapter 3 and leave out verses 17 through 21. The reason why is that they want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to have the assurance of salvation and then the freedom to live their lives according to their own selfish whims.

God shares His throne with no one.

This is the correct focus a Christian ought to have verses the materialistic selfishness that the so-called Christmas season tends to bring:

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. Galatians 5:13

Not exactly the Christmas cheer folks would prefer to hear but it is what they need to hear. The truth hurts when it goes against one’s flesh.

We were never told to remember Jesus’ birth but instead we have been specifically told to remember His death on a continuous basis. If you understand the scriptures and what Jesus said then this would make sense to you.

Jesus did not come to be born but to die.

Sin is never ok. Shame on anyone who is silent on this matter!

Sin, it's what separates us from God.

The Bible is very clear about the eternal dangers of sin.

Shame on anyone who calls themselves a Christian who does not warn others of the wrath to come unless they repent from their sins.

Stop justifying sin or ignoring it in your own life and start warning others.

If you are unclear about what sin is then read the Bible and pray. If you do not have a desire to that then you are in a bad place and God will not save you, that is, unless you repent.

Today's pulpits are no longer filled with Jeremiahs, Peters, Pauls and Johns who cry out for the people to repent but are instead filled with Balaams and Lucifers who say  that the people are ok in their sins.

Shame on everyone who embraces sin, repent or you will all perish.

He that committeth sin is of the devil

Churches today, for the most  part, teach a 'greasy grace' gospel that makes people feel that they are ok continuing on in their habitual sins, whatever those may be. They feel they are assured of their salvation as they continue doing the things they either know are wrong or should know are wrong.

Do not get upset thinking this is a works based salvation. Only Jesus' shed blood can save you.

Good works are a demonstration that your faith is not dead. If you have works that are good James said your faith is not dead. If you are living in sin then John said you are of the devil. Since you cannot serve two God's then you are not saved.

Jesus was much more direct on this subject. He said said if there is not evidence of any good fruit then you go to Hell. This means you never really accepted His sacrifice of forgiveness.

It is ironic that He sacrificed His life for us who did not deserve it yet He fully deserves our lives as a sacrifice to Him, yet so many try to hold back portions of themselves. They never fully surrender to Him and thus they serve two gods, which is impossible in God's economy.

In essence, if you are doing this, you are, as John alluded to, serving the devil.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.  Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.  In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1 John 3:7-10

But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? [21] Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? [22] Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? [23] And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. [24] Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. [25] Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? [26] For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:20-26

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Matthew 3:10

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? [17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. [18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. [19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. [20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. [21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:16-23

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24

Choose you this day which Bible you should read, and base your life on…

FYI, The different versions do not say the same things but in different ways.

The law of non-contradiction dictates that if there are two statements that are opposites then only one can be true. They both cannot be true.

For starters, in the new versions such as the NIV and others there some verses completely removed which the KJV has preserved. These cannot say the same thing but in different ways as the fallacious mantra regarding the different versions goes today. If there is nothing there then nothing is being said it’s as simple as that.

As far as verses that contradict each other across the different versions here are but a couple. I do not need to include them all as you should remember that it takes but a little leaven to leaveneth the whole lump…Also, you should do your own “Bible” study on this issue. After all, what is more important than God’s Word? Peter said it is even more powerful than actually hearing the audible voice of God. That is an awesome thought but that is how important God has made His Word.

For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 1:17-21

So here are a couple examples to start chewing on. The second one, Psalms 12:6-7, actually speaks about God’s Word specifically in regards to the preservation of it but only in the KJV.

Proverbs 24:11-12:

KJV:
11  If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;
12  If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

 NKJV:
11  Deliver those who are drawn toward death, And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
12  If you say, "Surely we did not know this," Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds? Proverbs 24:11-12

NIV:
11  Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
12  If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?

ESV:
11  Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.
12  If you say, "Behold, we did not know this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?  Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?

Psalms 12:6-7

KJV:

6  The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7  Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

NIV:

6  And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times.
7  You, LORD, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked,

 ESV:

6  The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.
7  You, O LORD, will keep them; you will guard us from this generation forever.

So in an ungodly nutshell what we have today in regards to this so-called version controversy is obvious evidence that man has been falling for Satan’s lie, “yea hath God said?” since Adam first gave into it in the Garden.

If you are going to claim that you study your Bible then be honest about it and study and pray hard as to how it got into your hands and if you are reading the one that God truly preserved as He said He would.
