Who is the antichrist?

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also]. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. 1 John 2:22-26

This is one of those studies that needs to be prefaced with Proverbs 18:13. He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it isfolly and shame unto him. 

Please read this in it’s entirety and fact check it with your Bible. I have included many verses here as well in order to stay well within proper context. Do not be a fool by rushing to quick judgment based on what you think you know. I was dead wrong in this area for many years until I read through the Bible in a month’s time and the end to end context became very clear to me.    

Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:10-12

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36

We must not loose sight of what is important and stop being inconsistent in our handling of the Gospel. The Bible states that only through Jesus Christ can one be saved. If someone does not believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Saviour, then that person needs to be witnessed to.

The Bible clearly states that salvation is not through a blood line to Abraham and for that matter it is not through any other man other than Jesus Himself. He is the “Seed” that God used to bring salvation to us. We must stay within context of what the Scriptures state clearly...

Christians, below is but a partial list of those whom need the Gospel. If anyone from any of these religions or world views die today without Jesus then they will spend eternity separated from their Creator in utter torment. They will go to hell. Abraham, Buda, Mohammed, Mary Baker Eddy, Joseph Smith, the Pope, any priest or rabbi, nor any other man, false god or religion can save a man’s soul, only Jesus can.

For those who say that the Jews of today worship the God of the Old Testament, you are in error as Jesus is the God of the Old and New Testament. He is God made flesh, the One that dwelt among us and died for us. He is the only way. We need to witness to the Jews just as we would witness to any non-believer. They need Jesus Christ.

I find it ironic that some will accuse me of being anti-Semitic when what I am saying is that I want all to come to repentance and be saved just as God does (see 2 Peter 2:9).

Here are the verses to consider before rushing to any judgments based on  faulty modern doctrines:

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 1 John 4:1-3

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 2 John 1:7

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 4:26-29

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God...He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:16- 18, 36

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1 Timothy 2:5

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:9

That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:23-24

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32-33

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
