Without any prompting our 7 year old girl took it upon herself to make the lives of those around her better.
I was so blessed to go downstairs yesterday and see the children's chalkboard dinning table adorned with her uplifting artwork. I asked her if anyone asked her to do this and she said "No, I just wanted to do it".
At each of the children's seats she drew a special message of encouragement:
She did it again just now. She came into my office while I was at work and she handed me a little paper that made my day so much better!
This is exactly what the Bible talks about edifying one another. She is already following Jesus' example in serving others.
I will submit that most Christian adults can learn from this precious child's actions.
We should already know this as Jesus explained it best:
And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Mark 10:44-45
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
