I say this a lot and need to say it again today...actually we all need to be saying this to everyone everyday!
If you are seeking heaven just to avoid hell or because it sounds like a nice place to be then you are missing the point.
If you are seeking heaven because our awesome and almighty Father is there then Jesus has provide us the way to do just that through His selfless death on the cross.
This has always been the path, the old and true path, the one and only path to heaven,...
If we are not in awe of God then we are missing the point entirely thus we are on the wrong path, a new path.
The new paths of today that promise carnal satiation lead only to Hell!
If it is true its not new and if its new its not true!
Stay on the old paths!
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16
Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up; Jeremiah 18:15
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better Philippians 1:21-23
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. Job:25-27
